AC: Missing Completion Notification for Tax Reporting Task Launcher (1099-MISC Data preparation)

Users may not receive automated notifications when the 'Prepare Form 1099-MISC Data' process completes. This occurs because the values on the tax income type, which the report uses, were not replaced. To resolve this, deprecated 1099 packages must be uninstalled. The tax income type values on the Account, Payable Credit Note, Payable Invoice, and Transaction Line Item objects must then be updated.

Symptoms
  • Users are reporting a lack of automated notifications upon the completion of the 'Prepare Form 1099-MISC Data' process within the Tax Reporting Task Launcher.
Resolution
  1. Recommended to uninstall both deprecated packages i.e.,
    • FF 1099-MISC Export packaging org 2019.400 ffex 
    • 1099 Details FinancialForce.com 1.0 ff1099 
    • the deprecated one that users should no longer use: Export 1099 - Misc

  2. This is the recommended functionality to use in LEX i.e., Tax Reporting Task Launcher 
  3. Follow the step to replace the values on the tax income type on the four objects, which the report uses. After these changes, should be able to get the notification for the reports. 
      • Setting up Forms 1099 : Step 8 > go to the feature console to update the income tax type values on four objects i.e., 
        • Account 
        • Payable Credit Note 
        • Payable Invoice 
        • Transaction Line Item
      • This adds new values to the Picklist. Then, have to manually replace the old values to the new values. These new values are the ones that show up on the tax reporting files.

  • Values on the tax income type which the report uses were not replaced
