ALL: Accelerate Solution Configuration and Security Details FAQ

The Accelerate Solution is an initial deployment of Certinia configuration components. These components are designed to optimize the user experience and enforce data integrity for new customers. It includes pre-built elements like validation rules, page layouts, automation, and reports for various Certinia products. The solution is installed by the Certinia Onboarding Team and is not recommended for existing customers, as it could overwrite their current configurations. It uses the standard Salesforce security model and does not contain customer data. The components are confined to the Certinia application namespace and do not change user settings outside of the Certinia scope.

What is the deployment process?

  • The Accelerate Solution is not a managed package
  • The Accelerate Solution is deployed by the Certinia Onboarding Team and requires a System Administrator user
  • New customers do not need to request the Accelerate Solution; it is deployed as part of the Onboarding process
  • The Accelerate Solution is not recommended for existing Certinia customers who have already configured Certinia products in their organization
    • It is intended as an initial configuration only
    • Deploying the Accelerate Solution may overwrite existing configurations in Certinia products
      • Note for existing customers: While the full Accelerate Solution is not recommended for existing customers post-implementation, a 'mini' Accelerate package containing specific PSA Flows is available for installation into a sandbox environment if requested via an Onboarding Ticket
      • This allows customers to review and configure these specific flows

How is data secured?

  • All components utilize the standard Salesforce security model (profiles, permission sets)
  • The build does not contains any customer data - it only consists of configuration metadata
  • The build does not contain code that attempts to access or transmit data to external services outside of Certinia's documented integrations

How are namespaces used?

  • All custom components (objects, fields, layouts) are confined to the Certinia application namespace
    • They are deployed to support the Certinia solution only

What is the impact to users?

  • The build primarily affects new configurations for Certinia objects
  • It will not change user permissions, profiles, or settings for objects or features outside of the Certinia scope
  • The build includes inactive page layouts for standard objects (Account, Contact, Opportunity)
    • These are not assigned to any profile or record type and will not impact active layouts; they are included solely for optional, consultant-led configuration later in the project
  • Deployment is non-destructive to existing Salesforce data or application logic
