ALL: Spring 26 Salesforce Update Causes Automated Emails to Fail

A Salesforce update may cause email automation processes to fail. This occurs when the email domain associated with the organization is not verified. To resolve this, the domain associated with the organization must be verified. Salesforce provides steps to verify email-sending domains or a workaround for unverified domains.

Symptoms

A recent Salesforce update has the potential to cause any processes utilizing email automation within Certinia to fail. There is no direct error message associated at this time.

Resolution

This impact is a result of a Salesforce update, as stated by Salesforce: "With this change, delivery fails for emails sent from Salesforce if the email domain—the part after the at (@) symbol—isn’t verified via either an active DKIM key or a verified entry in the authorized email domain list."

The setting will be enforced beginning April 6, 2026.

Workaround for Unverified Domains: 

  1. Follow the steps in Send Email for Users with Unverified Domains
Cause

The domain associated to the org was not verified after upgrading to Salesforce's Winter 26 release.
