Accounting Error: Bank Statement Lines are Not Visible After Clicking Reconcile

When bank statement lines are not visible for reconciliation, this may occur after removing a previously reconciled line. The issue can be resolved by reopening the bank reconciliation. The status of the bank statement line should then be changed to "Imported". This action makes the lines visible again in the user interface for reconciliation.

Symptoms

Users are unable to see any transactions to reconcile on the left side of the user interface after clicking reconcile

Resolution

To resolve the issue, follow the below steps:

  1. Verify the status on the bank statement line is complete
  2. Reopen the bank reconciliation
  3. Manually change the status of the bank statement line to "Imported" 

Reinstating the status of the bank statement lines to Imported makes them visible in the user interface for reconciliation.

Cause

This usually happens after removing a "Complete" (previously-reconciled) bank reconciliation line. This does not affect the status of the bank statement lines.
