All: Home Page Dashboards are Not Working in Lightning After Salesforce Spring 19 Release

Following the Salesforce Spring 19 release, users may be unable to access Home Page Dashboards in Lightning. These dashboards may display an error message. The issue occurs because dashboards created in Classic will not work in the new release. To resolve this, dashboards must be upgraded by editing and updating the existing dashboard components or adding new ones.

  • Users unable to access Home Page Dashboards in lightning after Salesforce Spring 19 upgrade
  • Dashboards display error message: "There was an error loading this component.  Try refreshing the dashboard."
Resolution
  • To resolve the issue follow Salesforce's steps to upgrade the Dashboards.
    1. Add a new dashboard component by clicking + Component, or edit an existing one by clicking the pencil icon ( ) on the component
    2. Set dashboard component properties. If adding a new component, click Add. Or, if editing an existing component, click Update

  • The Dashboards created in Classic won't work in Salesforce Spring 19 release.
