BC: How to Schedule an Apex Job to Create Billing Schedules

An Apex job can be scheduled to create Billing Schedules. This requires navigating to Apex Classes in Setup and selecting "Schedule Apex". The "GenerateBillingSchedulesSchedulable" class should be used. The number of months for which Billing Schedules are generated can be configured in Billing Central Settings.

Procedure
  1. To schedule the job:
    1. Click Setup > Develop > Apex Classes
    2. Search for the GenerateBillingSchedulesSchedulable Apex Class
    3. Click the name of the GenerateBillingSchedulesSchedulable Apex Class
    4. Return to the list of Apex Classes and click Schedule Apex
    5. Enter a Job Name
    6. Enter the Apex Class "GenerateBillingSchedulesSchedulable"
    7. Choose the frequency for the job to run
    8. Enter the date range for which the job is to run
    9. Enter a Preferred Start Time for the job
    10. Click Save
  2. Configure the number of months that Billing Schedules should generate for:
    1. ​Go to Setup > Develop > Custom Settings > Billing Central Settings
    2. Click Edit and then update the Billing Schedule Number of Months field as required
    3. Click Save
