How to Set Up PS Cloud Analytics

The Advanced Analytics below is only available once the core analytics is setup. The core analytics includes the datasets needed for dashboards as well as some of the core dashboards available to all users. To set this up, complete the following:

1. Navigate to the PS Cloud Analytics Setup tab
2. Create a new record
3. Populate the details of the analytics requirements
4. Click Save
5. Click Manage Additional Fields to add fields from Project, Milestone, and Contact
6. Click Create PS Cloud Core Analytics App

How to Install Business Analytics

Before implementing PSA Analytics, users must purchase PSA Analytics licenses and have the Business Analytics package Installed in the org. Find this through Setup > Installed Packages.

This is an extra package that must be purchased through Certinia. Once users buy a license, Certinia speaks to Salesforce on their behalf to enable Einstein Analytics in their production org. This normally takes less than 48 hours. Note that since Salesforce only enables in production, users may need to refresh their sandbox to use Business Analytics in a sandbox. Certinia recommends, that since CRM Analytics is a read-only product, users install straight into production the first time and only into a sandbox for upgrades.

Getting Started with Analytics

After ensuring Business Analytics is installed, enable Einstein Analytics. This is a guided experience from Salesforce found via Setup > Analytics > Settings. Follow all of the steps within the Getting Started - if administrators cannot see these options, then Einstein Analytics is likely not in the correct environment.

After completing the steps within the getting started, access Analytics > Settings to ensure that 'Allow null measure handing in datasets' is turned on. If this option is not available, raise a case with Salesforce as it is turned on by default and cannot be turned off in all environments. How to Provision Users Access to Analytics

There are two types of users that can access Analytics:

• View Users: able to run, view, and interact with existing dashboards
• Admin Users: able to build, edit, and delete dashboards

1. In the getting started steps above, two permission sets were created and assigned to the relevant users via Users > Permission Sets > Select Permission Set > Manage Assignments
2. Assign Admin Users the PSA Analytics App Template permission set as well
3. Assign both types of users a Business Analytics license
   1. Click Setup > Installed Packages > Business Analytics - Manage Licenses
4. Assign each user an Analytics Studio permission set license
   1. These are not the same as permission sets and are a different related list on the user record. To do this, open each user record for whom should have access to Analytics
   2. Scroll to the Permission Set License Assignments related list
   3. Assign an Analytics Platform license

Setting up the Integration User

The data that comes into Analytics is all controlled through an Integration User. This user is used as the link between Salesforce and Analytics and all data goes through this user. It is not a user that you would log in as and is created automatically once Analytics is enabled in your org. If the Integration User cannot see data then it won't get into Analytics. Simple. To make this process easy we do not add any permission sets to the Business Analytics package because it would as a dependency and we like to provide customers with the ability to install analytics for older versions of PSA where possible. The permission sets are therefore within the latest PSA package. You must assign the 'PSA Analytics Integration User Read Access' permission set to this user. Without the latest package you may need to create the permission set manually to provide 'View All' object access and 'View' field access on all PSA objects. The Integration User should also be assigned a PSA License (you get an extra one for this user).

Creating Assets

You should now have your users set up for access to Analytics. Provided you have the right data in your org (requirements in the online help), then you can start generating the dashboards and datasets. To do this first access the Analytics app called 'Analytics Studio'. Then click Create > App > From Template > PS Cloud Advanced Analytics. Go through the questions around your configuration and you'll be good to go!
