How to use record actions in Analytics.

The data within CRM Analytics might not quite be real-time but that doesn't mean that you cannot go directly into the real-time records from Analytics. When you are looking at a list of projects or documents, drilling into those details is invaluable. CRM Analytics provides this functionality through actions and you can use it to do many things;

• Open underlying records
• Post to Chatter
• Ask Questions
• Create Tasks
• Send Thanks
• Open Global Actions

In many of our dashboards, we try to make it obvious that an action is available by making the text blue. This is just something we do and will not happen automatically if you configure extra drill down actions. It's also important to note that some of these steps will need to be repeated during an upgrade as they will be lost.
