What happens when I upgrade Analytics?

To help answer this question I've prepared a short video where I go through exactly what happens to your assets when you upgrade. No slides simple demonstration. I cover the following:

• Dashboard Configurations
• Dashboard Modifications
• New Dashboards
• New Lens

Dataflow and Dataset modifications are always lost but Dashboard modifications are not necessarily. As always we always recommend upgrading your sandbox first.

Upgrading PS Cloud Core Analytics

The above is true for analytics apps created from app templates. For the embedded app for PSA Analytics, the upgrade process is slightly different and requires the following steps:

1. Update the PS Cloud Analytics setup record with any changes.
2. Access Setup > Analytics > Auto-installed apps
3. Open the PS Cloud Core Analytics App.
4. Choose to update the app

Any additional configuration will then be carried out and the same process as above for removing items and resetting dataflows will take place.
