Community: Error Message: An unexpected connection error occurred. This error originated from Salesforce CDN partner.

A "Salesforce CDN partner" connection error may occur when a user attempts to preview an invoice in the community. This issue is caused by the user not being assigned the correct community profile. To resolve this, the user's profile must be updated to ensure proper access and permissions.

Symptoms
  • Login to experience as user from the Contact record.
  • Navigate to Invoice & Payments.
  • Click on Preview Invoice for any Payments.
  • An error message appears stating, "An unexpected connection error occurred. This error originated from Salesforce CDN partner."
Resolution
  1. Check the Profile assigned to a user and ensure that the user has the appropriate profile.
  2. Update the profile for all portal users to 'Community Business Rep' to guarantee correct access and permissions.
Cause

The user was not assigned the appropriate community profile for access.
