The Certinia Community is a private site meaning users must be granted access in order to log in and use the resources. This article describes the various ways a user may be granted access to the Certinia Community and explains how permissions can be modified and removed.

How to Self-Enable Access to Certinia Community

Users with an active Certinia license to a production environment may self-enable their access to the Certinia Community. Note, users who self-enable are given the Community User access level, see below for details on what this access level includes.

1. Navigate to the Certinia Community login page.
2. Click Log in with Salesforce.
3. Enter your username and password for your production environment.
4. Click Log In.
5. You will be granted access to the Certinia Community.

How to Add a Single New User to Certinia Community

Designated Community Support Super Users for your account may follow the steps below to add a single user from your account to the Certinia Community:

1. Navigate to My Certinia.
2. Select Community Users tab (note, only Community Support Super Users have access to this tab.)
3. Click New User.
4. Enter the required contact information and choose the appropriate access level. 
5. Click Next.
6. After the user is successfully added, the page will show a success message.
7. Contact Record must be set to Active status.
8. Click Finish to return to the main screen. 

How to Add Multiple Users in Bulk to Certinia Community

Designated Community Support Super Users for your account may add multiple users simultaneously. Follow the steps below to bulk-add users to the Certinia Community:

1. Navigate to My Certinia.
2. Select Community Users tab (note, only Community Support Super Users have access to this tab.)
3. Click Add Multiple Users.
4. Choose whether to add contacts only or contacts and login access.
5. Download the template and populate with each contact's First Name, Last Name, Email, and Title.
6. Upload the file you created.
7. Select the access level for the users. Note, all users in the list will receive the same access level, so if users need different access then create separate lists and do separate uploads.
8. Click Next.
9. Review the information in the preview table and click Confirmed.
10. After all users are successfully added, the page will show a success message.
11. Click Finish to return to the main screen.

How to Reset a User's Password for Certinia Community

Designated Community Support Super Users for your account may initiate password reset emails for individuals who haven't set up their password or have forgotten their password. Follow the steps below to send password reset emails:

1. Navigate to My Certinia.
2. Select Community Users tab (note, only Community Support Super Users have access to this tab.)
3. Check the box beside the contact(s) that need a password reset.
4. Click Password Reset.
5. Click Next.
6. Click Finish to return to the main screen.

How to Select Access Level for Certinia Community

There are three Community profiles that determine what the user may access. See below for a description of what access is included for each profile.

How to Manage User Access for Certinia Community

Designated Community Support Super Users for your account can edit the access level or remove access for users. The My Certinia page in Certinia Community includes the Community Users tab that lists all individuals at your account with access to the Certinia Community. A checkmark in the user columns indicates which access level is set for that user. Note users can only have one access level at a time.

From My Certinia > Community Users, you can edit the access level or remove access for users. 

1. Check the box beside the contact(s) that should be updated.
2. Click Edit Access.
3. Select the new access level or remove access.
4. Click Next.
5. After all users are successfully updated, the page will show a success message.
6. Click Finish to return to the main screen.

Note: Community Support Super Users may now grant and modify access for all levels, including other Community Support Super Users.
