Conga: How to Combine Milestone and Job Code Conga Templates?

This document outlines the process for combining Milestone and Job Code data into a single Conga template. Users should navigate to the Conga Template Builder to select the required fields for both sections. The corresponding merge fields are then copied and pasted into a local Microsoft Word document. After saving, the updated Word file must be uploaded to the Conga Template record.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the Conga Template record.

  2. Click Template Builder.

  3. Select the Milestone fields required for the first section of the document.

  4. Select the Job Code fields required for the second section of the document.

  5. Open the local template file in Microsoft Word.

  6. Copy the merge fields for Milestone from the Template Builder.

  7. Paste the fields into the desired location in the Word document.

  8. Copy the merge fields for Job Code from the Template Builder.

  9. Paste the fields into the second section of the same Word document.

  10. Save the Word document.

  11. Click Upload File on the Conga Template record to update the template with the combined version.

 

Additional Notes
  • For more information on merge fields, see Conga Composer documentation. 
  • Ensure all field names use Courier New font. 
  • If using tables for complex layouts, ensure the header row background color is set to Light Gray (#DDDDDD).
