Error Message: "First error: SendEmail failed. First exception on row 0; first error: NO_MASS_MAIL_PERMISSION, Single email is not enabled for your organization or profile"

An error stating "NO_MASS_MAIL_PERMISSION" can occur when converting an opportunity to a sales invoice. This error indicates that the user lacks the necessary permissions for mass email functionality. To resolve this, a system administrator must adjust settings related to mass email deliverability, tab access, and user permission sets. Proper configuration ensures users can send emails as required.

Resolution
Have the System Administrator check the following:
  1. Make sure the Access Level for Mass Emails is set to "All emails" using the following steps:
    1. Setup > Administration Setup > Email Administration > Deliverability
    2. Click on the picklist for Access Level and select "All email"
    3. Click Save
  2. Ensure that the User Profile has access to the Mass Email Tab:
    1. Setup > Administration Setup > Manage Users > Profiles
    2. Click on the profile name of the appropriate Profile
    3. Click Object Settings > Mass Email > Edit
    4. Click the picklist for Tab Settings and select "Default On"
    5. Click Save
  3. Provide the User with the Mass Email Permission Set by:
    1. Setup > Administration Setup > Manage Users > Users
    2. Click the name of the User
    3. Scroll down to the Permission Set Assignments section
    4. Click Edit Assignments
    5. Add "Accounting-Mass Email" from the available to enabled permission sets section
    6. Click Save

 
Cause
User did not have access to the:
  1. Mass Email Deliverability
  2. Mass Email Tab
  3. Mass Email Permission Set
Additional Notes
If sending Remittances note the following:
  • Enable the Payment Log Tab/App to view the specific Emails that were not sent
  • There are two ways to send Remittances:
  1. From the Payment
  2. Configuring the Selection Definitions to utilize the Mass Email Tab
  • The Financial Contact field must be populated on the Payment to send Remittances, regardless of method
