AC Error: "Dimension 1 Currency Error Exchange Rate Not Set"

An error stating "Dimension 1 Currency Error Exchange Rate Not Set" occurs when posting a purchase invoice. This is caused by a missing exchange rate for the specified currency with a start date prior to the invoice date. To resolve this, a new exchange rate must be set for the relevant currency. The new rate must have a start date that is before the date of the invoice being posted.

Summary
An error stating "Dimension 1 Currency Error Exchange Rate Not Set" occurs when posting a purchase invoice. Symptoms
  • On Invoice select Post  and reach the error: "Dimension 1 Currency Error Exchange Rate Not Set"
Resolution
  • Exchange rate set on the Accounting Currency stated in the error should have a start date that is prior to the Invoice Date.
  • Insert an Exchange rate on the relevant currency that the invoice date will sit within. 
  1. All Tabs > Accounting Currencies 
  2. Click the ISO code for the currency you want to manage 
  3. Scroll down to the Exchange Rates related list.
  4. Click New Exchange Rate. 
  5. Use the date control to change the date the new rate comes into force ensuring that this date is prior to the Invoice date.
  6. Enter the exchange rate between the selected currency and your home currency.
  7. Click Save.
Cause
  • No Exchange rate set with a start date prior to the invoice date for the Currency ISO code stated in the error.
