AC: In Payable Invoice When Trying To Amend Document, Get Error Message: "INVALID_TYPE_ON_FIELD_IN_RECORD, Calculate Tax Value From Rate: value not of required type: : [ffap__CalculateTaxValueFromRate__c]"

An error message may appear when amending a posted Payable Invoice with a custom field. This issue is caused by the "Accounts Payable Extension" package, which should have been uninstalled. To resolve this, a system administrator must enable the "Stop Using AP Extension Package" custom setting. Users can also use the Classic View to amend the document as a temporary measure. Contact support to have the extension package uninstalled.

Summary

Symptoms
  • When amending a custom field on a posted Payable Invoice, the user gets the following error message:
    • "Update failed. First exception on row 0 with id aCz38000000Txxxxxx; first error: INVALID_TYPE_ON_FIELD_IN_RECORD, Calculate Tax Value From Rate: value not of required type: : [ffap__CalculateTaxValueFromRate__c]"
  • Using Custom Input Form layout
Resolution
  1. Salesforce System Administrator should enable a custom settings called "Stop Using AP Extension Package" and uninstall the Account Payable Extension package 
    1. Click Setup > click Custom Settings  
    2. Click Extension Settings (FF) Public
    3. Click Manage
    4. Click New 
    5. Check the box for Stop Using AP Extension Package
    6. Click Save 
  2. Use classic edit to make modifications to the report
    1. Click Classic View
    2. Click Amend Document
    3. Make modifications
    4. Save
  3. Contact FF-Support to open an OnBoarding case to uninstall "Accounts Payable Extension" 
Cause
  • Org has the "Accounts Payable Extension" installed that should have been uninstalled (by FF-OnBoarding) when the Org was upgraded to V14
