AC: When trying to Access Exchange Rates Tab only seeing List View

When attempting to manage exchange rates, the list view is displayed instead of the management screen. This issue occurs when a user lacks the necessary permissions. To resolve this, assign the "Accounting and Billing - Accounting Currencies" permission set to the user. Additionally, grant the user access to the "c2g.exchangerate" Visualforce page through their profile settings.

Summary
When attempting to manage exchange rates, the list view is displayed instead of the management screen. This issue occurs when a user lacks the necessary permissions. To resolve this, assign the "Accounting and Billing - Accounting Currencies" permission set to the user. Additionally, grant the user access to the "c2g.exchangerate" Visualforce page through their profile settings.

Symptoms
  1. User wants to use org-wide exchange rates and update rates via All Tabs (+) > Exchange Rates
  2. There is no screen to Manage Rates only a List View displayed
Resolution
  1. Go to Setup > Manage Users > Users 
  2. Select the user concerned
  3. Click Permission Set Assignments related list
  4. Click Edit Assignments
  5. Add the Accounting and Billing - Accounting Currencies Permission Set
  6. Click Save
  7. Back on the user, click on their Profile value
  8. Click Visualforce Page Access > click Edit 
  9. Find c2g.exchangerate in the list and click Add
  10. Then Save
Cause
  • The user had no access to the c2g.exchangerate Visualforce page.  Permission Set Accounting and Billing - Accounting Currencies is also required to be able to see the Use Org-Wide Exchange Rates field on the Company record.
