How to create a Budget and Balance record

1. Go to All Tabs (+)
2. Select Budgets and Balances
3. Select Go
4. Select New next to Recent Budgets and Balances on the home page
5. Specify the financial Year value
6. Specify the related Intersect Definition value
7. [Optional] Enter the brought forward budget value from the previous financial year.
8. [Optional] Enter the brought forward balance value from the previous financial year. This amount is added to the actual value for Period 1 to calculate the actual year-to-date value for Period 1
9. In the 'Accounting Code' section, specify one or more of the following elements:
   • A value for General Ledger Account
   • Specify value for one of the four entities: Account, Bank Account, Product, or Tax Code
   • Up to four analysis Dimensions
   • The Accounting Code details must be compatible with the selected intersect definition
   • In the 'Budget' section, enter a budget value for each period of the selected year
10. When finished, click Save or click Save & New to save the changes to the current record and then immediately begin to create another

• The Budgets and Balances will need to be exported by a System Administrator or someone specifically trained to do so via the Company's preferred exporting tool (e.g. Dataloader, Wizard, etc).
