PSA: Error Message: "Enter Minimum Hours or Maximum Hours for the Resource"

An error stating "Enter Minimum Hours or Maximum Hours for the Resource" can occur during time entry. This issue is caused by a null value in a specific Custom Setting. To resolve this, navigate to the Timecard Entry UI Personal custom settings. Set the desired values for "Maximum Resource Hours Per Week" and "Minimum Resource Hours Per Week".

Symptoms
  1. Enter time in the Time Entry without hours

Error message occurs: "Enter Minimum Hours or Maximum Hours for the Resource"

Resolution
  1. Navigate to Setup  > Quick Find
  2. Search "Custom Settings"
  3. Select Timecard Entry UI Personal
  4. Search "Maximum Resource Hours Per Week" and "Minimum Resource Hours Per Week"
  5. Set to the desired value per the requirement
  6. Click Save
  7. Confirm that the error is no longer thrown
Cause

The Custom Setting, which controls the Weekly Resource Hours Criteria, had a null value.
