PSA: Error Message: "Integration Hub Connector error: PSA Project field is not configured correctly."

An error message stating "Integration Hub Connector error: PSA Project field is not configured correctly" may appear in Concur Messages. This error is due to conflicting or incorrect values within the "Integration Hub Connector: Concur - PSA" custom settings. To resolve this, one must adjust the settings based on whether Project Managers should be synced to Concur. After updating the custom settings, several steps in the Feature Console must be rerun.

Symptoms
  • The following error message is recorded in Concur Messages Types: "Integration Hub Connector error: PSA Project field is not configured correctly. Please check the value of 'Concur field for PSA Project' entered in the Integration Hub Connector: Concur - PSA custom setting and perform following feature console steps again: 'Enable or disable the synchronization of Projects...', 'Enable or disable the deletion of Projects or Assignments...', 'Enable or disable synchronization of Expense Report...'."
Resolution
  1. ​​​​​​Go to Setup > Custom Settings
  2. Click Manage next to "Integration Hub Connector: Concur - PSA"
  3. If Project Managers should not be synced to Concur, update Sync Project Managers to "false", and Concur field for PSA Project to "PSA Project"
  4. If Project Managers should be synced to Concur, update Sync Project Managers to "true", and enter the name of the multi-level list in Concur for Concur field for PSA Project (i.e., "PSA Project-Project Manager")
  5. After updating the field value in the custom setting, go to All Tabs > Feature Console > Integration Hub Connector: Concur - PSA
  6. Re-run step 5, 8, 9, and 10
Cause
  • The issue is due to contradicting values in the "Integration Hub Connector: Concur - PSA" custom setting, or an incorrect value populated in the Concur field for PSA Project field of the custom setting.
