PSA: Error Message: "No access to data" When Viewing the Review Forecast Version Screen

An error message stating "No access to data" may appear when attempting to view the Review Forecast Version screen. This can occur even when Forecast Version sharing, role hierarchy, and permission controls appear correctly configured

Symptoms
  • Project Managers or non-admin users get the error: "You don't have access to this data" on the Review Forecast Version screen
  • Revenue Forecast Setup is configured with Object for Version Grouping = Region, Respect Permission Controls = TRUE
  • Affected users have valid PSA Permission Controls for the relevant region Permissions such as PSA – View All Forecasts and PSA – View Forecast are assigned

 

Resolution
  • Assign a full Salesforce (Sales Cloud) license to users who require access to the Review Forecast Version screen.
Cause
  • The Review Forecast Version screen has a dependency on the Salesforce (Sales Cloud) license.
  •  Users assigned only a Salesforce Platform User license lack certain access bundles (including opportunity-related access) that this functionality requires.
