PSA: How to Add Resource Filters to the Work Planner

Resource filters can be added to the Work Planner. This process involves configuring a field set within the Contact object and then adding that field set to the Work Planner page layout. After saving the changes, the new filter fields will appear on the Work Planner for resource filtering.

Procedure
  • Field Set Configuration
    1. Go to Setup
    2. Select Object Manager
    3. Search for and select Contact
    4. Select Field Sets
    5. Select Edit for the field set to be used (example: SearchResourcesFilterFields)
    6. Add/Remove any fields needed
    7. Select Save
  • Add Field Set to Page Layout
    1. Go to the Work Planner
    2. Select the Cog, then select Edit Page 
    3. Select the Page to display the options in the right panel
    4. Scroll down to Filter by Resource Section Custom Fields Field Set
    5. Select the Drop-down and select the Field Set (example: SearchResourcesFilterFields)
    6. Select Save
    7. Confirm the Field(s) are added to the filters on the Work Planner for Resource
