PSA: Miscellaneous Adjustments Process Run Stuck In Pending Status

When the Miscellaneous Adjustments process is stuck in a pending status, it is necessary to update the object settings. The issue can be resolved by enabling the "Allow Search" setting on the Miscellaneous Adjustment object within the Object Manager. This action permits the process to complete as expected.

Symptoms
Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Access a payable invoice 
  2. Go to Expense Lines tab on the payable invoice
  3. Click on Create Miscellaneous Adjustments button
  4. Process runs but is stuck in Pending status and never updates to Errors or Complete
  5. Auto email sent to user indicates process completed successfully
Resolution
  1. Go to Miscellaneous Adjustment object (Setup > Object Manager)
  2. Edit
  3. Select check box for Allow Search
Cause
  • Setup not completed
