ArticlesPSA:Project Total Hours Do Not Update When Editing via Work Planner

When updating a project's total hours through the Work Planner, the Total Hours field on the Project Monitor does not reflect or respect the edited values.

There are two ways to resolve this issue:

Option 1: Update the Assignment Setting

• Navigate to the relevant assignment record

• Set the Billable field to True Billable = true

• Save your changes, then re-edit the hours using the Work Planner

Option 2: Upgrade to Summer 2026 or Later

• The assignment associated with the project has Billable set to false.
• In the Spring 2026 release, assignments configured with Billable = false prevent the project monitor fields from automatically recalculating and updating.
