PSA: Raid Tracker For Salesforce Platform User giving Error

The reason you are encountering this error is a know Defect, is due to a combination of Salesforce Platform license limitations and a security enhancement introduced in recent PSA releases. The Disable Permission Checks setting, which previously allowed the system to bypass internal Field-Level Security (FLS) and Read/Create/Edit/Delete (RCED) checks, was explicitly marked in the system as a temporary setting that would be deprecated in a future release. The fact that this is erroring out indicates that Certinia has officially enforced this deprecation, making the strict security checks permanent

Symptoms
  • Getting error that the 'Salesforce Platform User' needs read access to Opportunity object which lacks access to because of the licence type 
Environment

Resolution
  1. This is a known Defect
  2. The Opportunity data was being queried always (for lookup filter support between Risk ↔ Issue), even when the field wasn't shown — which unnecessarily triggered FLS checks against Platform license users
  3. The fix to this has been delivered in Spring 2026 SP6. The fix makes Opportunity data fetching optional — it's only queried when the dependent field is actually shown on RAID Tracker via a field set
  4. Upgrade to Spring 2026 SP6 (or later versions) to resolve this without needing to enable the security bypass or upgrade licenses
Cause
  • Newly introduced combination of Salesforce Platform license limitations and a security enhancement in recent PSA releases
  • As per new Certinia's security checks, it has officially enforced this deprecation, making it permanent
Additional Notes
  • Previously, PSA's internal security bypass (the "Bypass Internal FLS and CRUD" custom setting) masked this gap. After the Spring 2026 release, stricter FLS/CRUD enforcement became the default, surfacing the error for Platform license users
