This is because the functionality is very limited and there are already alternatives such as billing via a miscellaneous adjustment (if roll-up to the pre-billed Actual is required) or billing via a milestone. Customers should adopt an alternative way to collect a pre-bill amount. For example, by billing a miscellaneous adjustment or milestone. To collect a pre-bill amount via a milestone, no further setup is required. Create and bill a milestone as usual. The value of this milestone will not be included in the pre-bill actual. To collect a pre-bill amount via a miscellaneous adjustment, the following steps may be required (depending on your existing PSA configuration): Edit the Configuration Option 'miscellaneousadjustmentcategories' to add a new configuration value of 'Pre-Billed Revenue'.When designating a miscellaneous adjustment as a pre-billed amount, choose the 'Pre-Billed Revenue' transaction category.Generate a billing event for the miscellaneous adjustment as usual. Note that even if the pre-billed actual is populated, there is no other functionality in PSA to influence whether billing considers the value of any pre-billed amount. Therefore it is still a manual process to handle relevant billable records in order for pre-billed amounts to be considered a deposit which offsets future invoices.
