Why is the feature being deprecated?

Certinia is consolidating its services forecasting capabilities into a single, modern experience. Billing Forecasting was built on an older architecture that:

• Had not received any investment within the product for several years, and therefore, fell behind the features available in PSA today
• Had very low user adoption including zero use of the shipped UI
• Lacked the capability and accessibility that modern finance and operations teams expect
• Created confusion alongside Revenue Forecasting & Services Forecasting, as the features partially overlap

Retiring Billing Forecasting allows Certinia to focus investing in Services Forecasting to deliver faster improvements and cleaner products for customers.

What is the impact of this replacement on users?

Existing customers will no longer be able to generate data and view it on the Billing Forecasting UI once the code is removed from the product.

What is replacing the feature?

Services Forecasting (from Spring 2026)

How should existing users transition to the new feature?

1. Check whether Billing Forecasting is being used
   1. Telemetry data suggests many organisations have scheduled jobs running that reference the Forecast_Enhanced_Calculation object without anyone actively reviewing the output. If this is the case, deactivate those jobs
   2. If data is being used, work with your Certinia CSM to scope a move to Services Forecasting. Your CSM can provide guidance on licensing, deployment, and configuration
2. Disable any automations or scheduled jobs referencing Forecast_Enhanced_Calculation ahead of the removal date to avoid errors
