SCM: Why Are The Columns On The Purchase Order Slip Not Completely Visible When Printing?

When printing a purchase order slip, columns may not be fully visible. This occurs if a hyperlink is present in the "Item Description" field. A long hyperlink cannot wrap to the next line, which pushes other columns off the page. To resolve this, remove the hyperlink from the item description.

Answer
  • Item Description is a field included in one of the columns on the slip when printing a Sales Order
  • If the Item Description includes a hyperlink, it is important to remember that a hyperlink cannot be cut off and wrap to the next line
  • If the hyperlink is too long, it will cause other columns to not be visible on the slip
Additional Notes
  • Remove hyperlink from Item Description field
  • Since a URL is not a part of the Item description, a Custom Field on the Item master called "Additional Description" or "Additional Info" to hold this type of information for the Item may be necessary
