• Schedule changes made to a Held Resource Request are overwritten upon assignment.

• Users observe that any exceptions or modifications made to the resource’s schedule while the request is on hold are not retained.

Solution:

1. Navigate to Assignment CustomSettings in Setup

2. Locate the "Retain Schedule on Assign" setting

3. If it is not already selected, enable this setting

4. Save changes

5. Test the behavior in a sandbox environment by:

   • Holding a resource to a Resource Request

   • Making schedule changes using the Work Planner

   • Assigning the Resource Request

   • Verifying if the schedule changes are retained

The behavior is controlled by the "Retain Schedule on Assign" flag in the Assignment Settings custom setting. If this flag is not enabled (set to FALSE), PSA will regenerate the schedule based on the original request details when changing the Resource Request status from Held to Assigned.
