Streamline the Staffing Process with Resource Optimizer

The Resource Optimizer utilizes existing system data to streamline the staffing process. It helps businesses by removing manual data filtering and matching resources to resource requests. Users can create resource requests with a 'Ready to Staff' status and future start date. Match priorities can be updated to identify the best resource for a request.

Best Practice Tips: 
  • Create Resource Requests that have a ‘Ready to Staff’ Status and Start Date in the future.
  • Update the Match Priorities to hone in on the best match resource.

To further your success, below are some additional technical resources you may find value in exploring:
Additional Notes
  • Selected resource requests are assigned to matched resources and are removed from the Resource Requests grid.
  • You can match resources to resource requests on an opportunity record.
  • You cannot assign selected resource requests to resources on an opportunity record. This explains why the Assign button is greyed out on the Resource Optimizer. 
  • You cannot match resources to resource requests that are not linked to a project. The Assign button is greyed out on the Resource Optimizer if Resource Request is not linked to a project. 
  • Resources that are held are removed from the Resource Requests grid.
