FDN: Link Control Fields are Not Being Populated

FDN link control fields may not populate when creating a sales invoice. This can occur if the "exclude own messages" checkbox is selected in the Message types settings. To resolve this, navigate to the "link/opportunities to sales invoice" message type and ensure the "exclude own messages" checkbox is not selected for the Link Control subscription. The publication and subscription for return data are related to the Certinia Accounting registered product.

Symptoms

There is not an associated error message, the FDN link control fields are not being populated. SIN gets created but the Return Data fields are not populating. The details are not populating under FDN Message Integration.

Resolution

To resolve:

  1. Navigate to Message types
  2. Click link/opportunities to sales invoice
  3. Select Edit in the top right
  4. Navigate to the exclude own messages checkbox under the 'Routing Details' section
    1. Note that the publication and subscription for return data are both related to the Certinia Accounting registered product
  5. Ensure that the exclude own messages checkbox is not selected for the Link Control subscription

This occurred because the exclude own messages checkbox was selected.
